Brand Collaterals
Since 2013, I Was a Sari has transformed preloved Indian saris into contemporary luxury resort and loungewear for European audiences.
As a B Corp-certified brand, it has recycled over 1.7 million m² of saris while empowering more than 800 artisans, placing ecological and social responsibility at the heart of its practice. This commitment has earned the brand recognition from Gucci Equilibrium and a Green Carpet Award.
As part of the design team, I contributed to the brand’s social media communication and refreshed its packaging, incorporating key brand elements to create a more cohesive and recognisable experience
across touchpoints.

Previous Packaging

The heart favicon was one of the brand’s most distinctive symbols, representing the idea of preloved.
Reimagining it as a cut-out created a functional window
into the packaging, allowing the colours and patterns of
each upcycled sari to become part of the visual experience. This simple intervention gave the packaging a fresh, tactile identity while celebrating the uniqueness of every piece.
